Placing an Order:

 

  • You may place an order through this website, www.soulsongoriginals.com or by visiting me at any live event I may be attending.
     

  • I accept phone orders at 607-746-8007. You can use your credit card for phone orders. Please browse the website, make your selection(s) and give me a call! Hours for phone orders are  Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Eastern Time. 

 

  • You may also place an order by mail. To do so, contact me through the contact page on this website with the item or items you wish to purchase. I will get right back to you with payment and mailing information. For purchases made through the mail, I accept money orders made payable to Soul Song Originals, and credit cards. When you place an order by mail, I will hold the item or items you wish to purchase for 5 business days and mark them as a "pending sale" on the website. If paying by money order and your money order payment is not received within 5 business days, the item or items you ordered will be placed back for sale on this website. If your money order is received later than 5 business days and the item or items have sold, I will contact you and return your money order. If your money order is received later than 5 business days and the item or items have NOT sold, I will fulfill your order. If you order more than one item by mail and your money order is received after 5 business days and part of your order has been sold, I will fulfill the order with the item or items that remain and refund the difference with a return money order, minus my money order fee. You may opt for a shop credit with the remaining money. Shop credits receive a 10% bonus, so if you are entitled to a $100 refund, you will receive a shop credit of $110, if you opt to do so.

  • Placing an order online is safe and easy. SSL encryption ensures the security of your data via the Internet. You can review your order before you place it.

 

Payment and Shipping:

Credit Card Charges:

  • Your credit card will be charged when you place your order. If I am unable to fulfill your order for any reason, your charges will be refunded to your credit card.

 

Shipping Policies - Overview:

  • All shipping and returns are handled by the United States Postal Service unless requested otherwise.

  • At this time I am only accepting orders from, and shipping to, addresses in the U.S. and Canada. Contact me if you are ordering from elsewhere.

 

Domestic Shipping Costs:

  • Up to 12 oz. - USPS First Class or Priority Mail 2-6 business days - $5 shipping charge.

  • 12 oz. - 3 lbs..  - USPS Priority Mail 2-3 business days - $9 shipping charge.

  • 3 lbs & Up - USPS RETAIL GROUND SHIPPING - 5 - 8 business days - $21 shipping charge.

International Shipping Costs:

  • Up to 8 oz. - USPS First-Class Package International Service - delivery date varies by destination - $11 shipping charge.

  • 8 oz. - 2 lbs. - USPS First-Class Package International Service - delivery date varies by destination - $22 shipping charge.

  • 2 lbs - 3 lbs - USPS First-Class Package International Service - delivery date varies by destination - $31 shipping charge

  • 3 lbs. and up - USPS First-Class Package International Service - delivery date varies by destination - $51 shipping charge

 

Sales Tax:

  • Sales tax is collected for all sales in New York State at a rate of 8%.

 

Order Tracking:

  • If a tracking number is provided by the shipping carrier, I will send the information to you so you can follow your order. Please note that some orders using First Class Mail through the United States Postal Service will not have tracking numbers.

 

Recycled Shipping Materials:

  • Whenever possible, I recycle and reuse shipping boxes and packaging materials. This means you might receive your item in a box or package that was previously used
    and the packaging materials (biodegradable foam “peanuts”, paper, bubble wrap, etc.) might be previously used. Be assured that all recycled materials I use are
    clean and intact. Let’s save trees and use fewer fossil fuels!!

 

Privacy & Security Policies:

 

  • I take your privacy very seriously and will implement all measures to protect your personal information. I only collect information that is needed in relation to your order. This includes your name, billing address, shipping address, phone number (in case there is a question about your order), email address and credit card information. Your information is only used to fill your order. I will never sell or redistribute your information to anyone. I will never retain your credit card information unless you give permission.

 

  • By placing an order and giving your email address, you will automatically be added to the Soul Song Originals email list. You can remove yourself from the Soul Song Originals email list at any time by sending a request to contact@soulsongoriginals.com or by following the link at the bottom of the email.

 

  • Your personal information is encrypted using a Secure Sockets Layer before it is transmitted to a web server.

 

Gift Orders:

 

  • I will gladly ship gifts when requested with a gift receipt. You may request a note card to be included in your gift with a personalized, handwritten message at no extra charge.

 

  • Exchanging gifts: Only exchanges will be accepted on gifts that are shipped to the gift recipient. Requests for an exchange by a gift recipient must be made within 15 days of receipt of gift item by the recipient. Exchanges of gift items must be accompanied by the bottom portion of the gift receipt that was included. Please contact me to find out the value of the item you wish to exchange. Items shipped as gifts cannot be returned for a cash refund. Gift exchanges must be of equal or higher value as the gift item received. There will be a $5 shipping fee to exchange
    a gift, even if the new item is valued over $75. 

 

Gift Cards:

 

  • Gift Cards Have No Value Until Activated By Merchant!

 

  • Currently, gift cards can only be redeemed by phone or in person. To redeem by phone, call Soul Song Originals at 607-746-8007 after visiting www.soulsongoriginals.com and selecting your purchase(s). Or you may visit Soul Song Originals – Handcrafted Jewelry & Art in person at any event where I am appearing.
     

  • Gift card or number must be presented or given at the time of purchase. No refund is granted for any purchase less than the monetary value of the gift card. Purchases of more than the monetary value of the gift card must be paid in full during the transaction. Gift card may be used multiple times until funds are depleted and it is reloadable - physical card must be presented for reloading.
     

  • Gift cards can be shipped to the buyer for gift-giving or shipped directly to the gift recipient along with a complimentary greeting card which can include a personal, hand-written note if desired. Instructions for redeeming the gift card will be included with each order.
     

  • Choose from 4 different gift card designs.
     

  • Include your color choice and specify (if applicable) the personal note you would like included along with the full name and mailing address of the gift card recipient, in the "add note to seller" section of your shopping cart. Gift cards valued at $75 or more ship free! Remember to enter code FREE75 at checkout! 
     

  • Not redeemable for cash.
     

  • Lost, stolen or destroyed gift cards will not be replaced.
     

  • Gift card may not be redeemed for other gift cards.

Custom Orders:

 

  • I gladly accept custom orders! You can contact me via any of my contact methods to discuss what you are looking for. After we have established what it is you want, I will get back to you within 2 days to let you know what your request will cost and, if available, photos of components of your custom piece. Please allow 15 business days for completion and shipping of your custom order. I will make every effort to complete your order sooner, but due to circumstances where I have to special order components, I need to implement the 15-business-day time frame.

  • There will be times that I attending events where I am selling my jewelry and art directly to the public. During those times, I will place an advance notice on the home page of my website indicating that at any time during these events, items can be removed from my website without notice. Please take note of those announcements as orders might not be fulfilled if the item desired has been sold at an event. I will always have access to my website during events and will make every effort to keep it updated as sales occur.

Overview:

 

  • I stand behind all my work and I love having happy customers. I will always work with anyone who finds they need to return, exchange or receive a refund on any item purchased. There can be many reasons to send back an item and I will work closely with you to resolve any issue you may have. Contact me….we’ll talk.
     

 

  • All returns made for any reason must be received by me within 15 days receipt of the item(s) by the customer. For example: If you receive your purchase on May 1 and you want to return it, I need to receive it by May 15 (or the next closest business day thereafter) for you to be eligible for a full refund.
     

 

  • When returning any items, especially fragile or breakable items, please pack them carefully for protection during shipping. Include the bottom portion of your packing slip which is your printed proof of purchase for returns, refunds and exchanges and, if you are paying for return shipping, request tracking and insure the item for the original purchase price (including what you paid for shipping, if applicable). I cannot accept responsibility, regardless of value, for any return that is untraceable and/or uninsured where the return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer.
     

 

  • Unless there was an error in shipping on my part or if your item breaks due to construction within 30 days of receipt, refunds do NOT include original shipping costs, if there were any.
     

 

  • All returns, exchanges, and refunds will be processed within 3 business days of receipt of returned item(s).

 

  • Before making any return or exchange, please keep all shipping materials and forms and contact me within
    5 days of receipt of item either by email or phone at:contact@soulsongoriginals.com/contact or

  • If you are entitled to a cash, credit card, PayPal or money order refund, you can request a shop credit in lieu of your original payment form. By requesting a shop credit you will receive a 10% bonus of the amount due to be refunded back to you. For instance, if you are entitled to a refund of $100 for a return, and you opt for a shop credit instead, you will receive $110 in shop credit!
     

 

Now that you know I’m easy to deal with and a heck of a nice gal, here are the details for making a return, requesting a refund or an exchange…….
 

 

Return, Refund & Exchange Policy Details:

 

  • If for any reason, you are not totally satisfied with your purchase, I will gladly accept your return within 15 days of your receiving the item(s). Where a full refund (excluding shipping, if applicable) is being requested, all items must be in their original, new, unused and undamaged condition. Shipping is non-refundable when the returned item is NOT damaged.
     

 

  • Please note that I will also accept the return of custom-made items, as long as the custom design is a piece I can offer for sale again. I keep photos of all of my work and can make the evaluation of the custom-made item being eligible for sale again without the item being returned to me. Where a full refund (excluding shipping, if applicable) is being requested on a custom ordered item, the item must be in its original, new, unused and undamaged condition. Shipping is non-refundable when the returned item is NOT damaged.
     

 

  • Upon receipt of any returned item within 15 days of receipt by the customer, an evaluation will be made to make sure the item is in its original, new, unused and undamaged condition and that no alterations, including removal or substitution of components, have been made to the item. If all is well with the piece, a refund in the form of the original purchase method will be made.
     

 

  • In some cases, I may approve the return of an item made between 16 and 30 days of receipt by the customer. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS TYPE OF RETURN MUST BE PRE-APPROVED and the item will be subject to evaluation. A shop credit to Soul Song Originals and SoulSongOriginals.com may be issued in lieu of a refund, depending on the elapsed time and other circumstances and confirming that the item is in its original, new, unused and undamaged condition.
     

 

  • If there is an error made by me (for example: I sent the wrong item; Item sent to wrong address, etc.) that causes the order to be returned, I will pay for re-shipping of the item, regardless if the customer paid for shipping originally.
     

 

  • If there is an error made by the customer (for example: I was given the wrong shipping address, the customer ordered the wrong item, etc.), the customer will pay $5 for re-shipping even for orders that are over $75.
     

 

  • Returns should be made, if at all possible, in the original shipping package along with the bottom portion of your packing slip which is your printed proof of purchase for returns, refunds, and exchanges. If the original shipping package is too damaged to return the item, any sturdy packaging that ensures the safety of the item may be used.
     

 

  • I will provide return postage for returns made within the 15-day period. For items returned with pre-approval between 16 and 30 days of receipt by the customer, return postage will be the responsibility of the sender. If you are paying for return shipping, request tracking and insure the item for the original purchase price (including what you paid for shipping, if applicable). I cannot accept responsibility, regardless of value, for any return that is untraceable and/or uninsured where the return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer.
     

 

  • NOTE: Some folks like to purchase items (especially jewelry) that they just want to “check out” with really no true intention of keeping the piece(s). Customers who take advantage of my free shipping policy for purchases over $75 by submitting repeated returns will be charged a $20 fee per return. I retain the right to charge this fee if I feel a customer is taking advantage of my free shipping policy. I’m sorry to have to implement this particular policy, but handling returns take time and cost money.
     

 

  • Gift Cards are non-returnable, non-refundable and not eligible for exchange. No exceptions.
     

 

  • Sale and close-out items are final sales and not eligible for return, refund or exchange. No exceptions.
     

 

Return of Items Broken and/or Damaged in Transit:

  • If you need to return an item that was broken and/or damaged in transit, retain all shipping packaging and please contact me using a contact method listed within 5 days of receipt of the item.
     

 

Return of Broken and/or Damaged Item After Receipt:

  • Any item that is broken and/or damaged either intentionally or unintentionally, by the customer or any person the customer allows the item to be handled by, after receiving it in new, unused and undamaged condition will not be accepted for return, refund or exchange.
     

 

  • HOWEVER, under certain circumstances, I will be willing to discuss with you the following: If the item is broken and/or damaged either intentionally or unintentionally by the customer or any person the customer allows the item to be handled by, after receipt in new, unused and undamaged condition and is returned within 15 days of receipt WITH PRE-APPROVAL and the item is in a condition that I can repair it to sell again, I will be willing to discuss the possibility of a return and the refund will be in the form of a shop credit only. If this is the case and it is agreed to, the cost of repair for resale, which includes labor and materials, will be deducted from the shop credit amount. Return shipping costs, under these circumstances, will be the sole responsibility of the person returning the item. After I receive the item, I will evaluate it, contact the purchaser and discuss the situation.

 

        For example: The purchaser has an item that was broken           and/or damaged, either intentionally or unintentionally,               after receiving the item in new, unused and undamaged             condition, within 15 days of receipt and the item originally           cost $100. The customer pays for return shipping. My cost           to repair the item (materials and labor) is $30 so it can be             offered for sale again. I will extend a shop credit of $70 to           the purchaser.

 

 

        If the above is agreed to regarding any item received in               new, unused and undamaged condition that was broken             and/or damaged after receipt of the item and the                         customer wants the item repaired and returned, repair                 service will be charged at a rate of $15 per hour plus cost           of materials, payable before return shipping of item. A                 shipping fee of $5 will be charged to ship the item back to         the customer.

 

 

        NOTE; If I deem the item is NOT in any condition to be                 repaired after I receive it, I will NOT refund any of the                   purchase price and the item will NOT be shipped back to           the customer unless the customer is willing to pay a $5               fee for return shipping. I know this sounds harsh, and I hate         to implement this policy, but, sometimes folks don’t                     accurately disclose the actual damages and the damages         can be much more severe than described. Please know               that if the item is beyond repair, (like if the dog chews it up,         or if it gets run over by a trolley, falls in the blender, or if an         asteroid flies through your window and hits it or the item is         torn beyond repair during a zombie apocalypse, etc.)  I will         make every attempt to salvage parts for re-use and I’ll                 discuss a partial shop credit based on the value of those             parts. So, please, you will save yourself the cost of                       shipping an item damaged beyond repair back to me                 AND paying for that damaged item to be sent back to               you (if you want it returned) by using your best judgment         about the condition of the piece and by being upfront                with me about that condition.

  • Any item that breaks due to construction within 30 days of purchase will be repaired at no cost to you. I will provide postage for the return of the item and evaluate the piece. If I deem that, indeed, it was the fault of construction, I will repair the item and will ship the repaired piece back at no cost to you. If you do not want the item repaired and returned, then my refund policy will take effect with a 30-day return window, which means you will receive a refund in the original payment form.
     

 

  • If you are entitled to a cash, credit card, PayPal or money order refund, you can request a shop credit in lieu of your original payment form. By requesting a shop credit you will receive a 10% bonus of the amount due to be refunded back to you. For instance, if you are entitled to a refund of $100 for a return, and you opt for a shop credit instead, you will receive $110 in shop credit!
     

 

Refunds:

  • Any type of credit card or PayPal payment will be credited back to the original account; money order payments will be refunded by money order. In the case of an item being purchased with a cash payment (which is rare and under specific circumstances), please contact me.
     

 

Late or missing refunds (if applicable):

  • If you haven't received your refund within 10 business days, please check your bank or credit card account again then contact the respective financial institution, as there is often some processing time before a refund is posted. 

 

  • If you've done all of this and you still have not received your refund, please contact me by using one of the contact methods listed under the heading: How to Contact Me located on this page.
     

 

Exchanges:

  • I am happy to accept items for exchange.  Exchanges must be made within 15 days of receipt of the item by the customer. Exchanged item(s) will be evaluated and must be in new, unused and undamaged condition to be accepted for exchange. I will provide shipping for an item being returned to me for exchange. A $5 shipping fee will be charged to send the new item back to the customer, even if the new item is valued above $75. Any exchange for an item of greater value will need to have the difference paid for before the new item is shipped. Any exchange that is done for an item of a lesser value will have the difference in value, minus the $5 shipping charge, refunded in the original payment method, as long as the item is exchanged within 15 days of receipt by the customer.
     

 

  • For example: You buy an item that costs $75 and it was sent to you with free shipping. You decide, within 15 days of receipt, that you would like to exchange that item for a $40 item. Your return shipping of the $75 item is paid for by me (because it is within the 15-day limit), and your $40 item is charged a $5 shipping fee which leaves you with a $30 refund. 

     

  • Exchanging gifts: Only exchanges will be accepted on gifts that are shipped to the gift recipient. Requests for an exchange by a gift recipient must be made within 15 days of receipt of gift item by the recipient. Exchanges of gift items must be accompanied by the bottom portion of the gift receipt that was included. Please contact me to find out the value of the item you wish to exchange. Items shipped as gifts cannot be returned for a cash refund. Gift exchanges must be of equal or higher value as the gift item received. There will be a $5 shipping fee to exchange a gift, even if the new item is valued over $75.
